Pedilanthus is quite drought tolerant and will thrive if given plenty of water, allowed to drain completely, and then allowed to dry out a bit between waterings. If your plant begins to lose its leaves, it's probably either a temperature issue or you should bump up the watering a little bit.
Choose a draft free location in the home when growing Pedilanthus indoors. It doesn’t tolerate cold breezes, which can kill off the tips of the growth.
