I've read that most of the haworthia species do well in shade. I just wish they were easier to finds

Just got these, dont know when to water or what type of succulent they are :/

almost all of these type of succulents are have have this weird brown marking on them. should I just take the leaves a propagate them to get better looking ones?

Trying to get this cutting going, but have no idea whether to treat it as a regular succulent or more like a Jade. Any idea what species this is so I can research?

HELP ID: I recently bought this collection of succulents from my local swap meet and was ultimately attracted to the low-growing grass-like succulents as shown in my second picture.
