Ingredients
For Vegetables
● Broccoli florets – 2 cups, small pieces
● Mini sweet rainbow peppers – 10, seeded and halved
● Sesame oil – 1 tablespoon
● Salt and ground black pepper – to taste
For salmon
● Wild salmon filets – 2
● Sesame oil – 1 teaspoon
● Garlic clove -1, grated
● Ginger – ½ teaspoon, grated
● Soy sauce – 2 tablespoons
● Rice vinegar – 1 teaspoon
● Brown sugar – 1 teaspoon
For garnish
● Toasted sesame seeds – ½ teaspoon
● Scallion – 1, chopped
Cooking method
1. Take out a sheet pan and cover it with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Spray some olive oil.
2. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
3. You will marinate the salmon with teriyaki sauce. To make the sauce, mix garlic, ginger, sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, and vinegar in a bowl.
4. Wash the salmon properly. Take a large ziplock bag and put the salmon in it. Add half of the marinade and shake it by sealing it so that the salmon is well-covered with the marinade.
5. Keep it aside for 10 minutes. If you have the time, marinate for half an hour.
6. Wash and cut the broccoli florets. Put it in a bowl and add salt, pepper, and sesame oil. Place it on the sheet pan you have prepared and roast for 10 minutes in the oven.
7. Take out the veggies from the oven and push them to one side of the pan. Place salmon in the empty area of the sheet pan.
8. Bake for about 10 minutes more so that the salmon is cooked thoroughly.
9. Put a skillet over your stove and pour the leftover marinade. Simmer it till a thick solution forms. Do this in low heat. You will have the teriyaki sauce ready. One way to test whether your teriyaki sauce has the right consistency is to check if it covers the back of a spoon. The teriyaki sauce will give a glossy appearance to your salmon.
10. Take out the salmon and brush over the thick sauce you made over it. Sprinkle sesame seeds and scallions.
11. Serve hot with the vegetables.
Tips
● Don't overcook salmon as it will become dry and it won't taste good. You can use a cooking thermometer and insert it at the center of the fish. If the temperature is between 130 to 135 degrees F then your salmon is ready. Alternatively, you can insert a knife into the thick part of the fish. If the inside looks translucent and pale pink then the salmon is cooked right.
● After taking out the salmon from the oven, let it rest for some time as it will be still cooking internally due to the heat preserved. So, if the center of the fish is undercooked, it will be properly cooked within that time. The texture of the fish will look silky too.
● Buy center-cut salmon
Variations
● You can use bell peppers instead of mini peppers
● You can use a combination of cauliflower and broccoli.
● You can add extra veggies like beans and asparagus.
● To make it spicier add sriracha to the marinade.

- Shelled edamame – 1 cup, cooked and cooled
- Carrots – 1 cup, shredded and julienned
- Avocado – 1, sliced
- Coconut aminos – ½ cup
- Green onions -2, sliced
- Rice vinegar – 1 tablespoon
- Honey – ¼ cup
- Toasted sesame oil – 1 tablespoon
- Sesame seeds
- Garlic cloves – 3, minced
- Ginger – 1 teaspoon
- Cornstarch – 1.5 tablespoon
- This recipe is for 4 servings.
Ingredients explained
- Buy salmon fillets with skin on. Try to get center-cut Atlantic salmon as it's of high quality.
- You can choose white rice, brown rice, or quinoa.
- Edamame are green soybeans. They are packed with protein.
Cooking method
- Wash the salmon filets and pat them dry. Place them on a dish and sprinkle salt and black pepper over it.
- Make the teriyaki sauce. You can do so by mixing honey, rice vinegar, coconut aminos, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Whisk everything.
- Pour some sauce over the salmon fillet. Then turn the filets over with the skin-side upwards.
- Cut the vegetables, that is, cucumbers, edamame, avocado, and carrots.
- Take out your broiler and preheat it. Place the salmon fillet on an aluminum foil with the skin side facing downwards. Broil the fish. Alternatively, you can bake the salmon. In such a case, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and bake for 8 minutes. Before putting the marinated salmon in the broiler or oven, refrigerate it overnight or for 30 minutes for the marinade to seep inside the salmon fillets. It will make the fillets juicy and tasty.
- Put the rest of the teriyaki sauce in a saucepan and turn the heat to medium. Simmer it for some time.
- Add cornstarch to some warm water and whisk it till dissolved. Pour the cornstarch into the teriyaki sauce and stir occasionally.
- Continue heating the sauce until it thickens.
- Place rice in a bowl and top it with salmon fillets. They place the vegetables in strategic positions. Pour teriyaki sauce on top and sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions.
How to store
You can store the cooked rice and salmon in separate airtight containers. Put them in the fridge. You can also cut the vegetables and keep them in the fridge. You can store the teriyaki sauce the same way. When you are ready to eat just take out the ingredients from the fridge, warm them, and serve them in your preferred bowl.
Tips
- You can cut the salmon filets into small pieces rather than using the whole filet.
- You can serve the dish hot, cold, or at room temperature.
- You can add more vegetables, like peas, asparagus, and baby corn.
- You can try this same recipe with chicken, beef, or tofu instead of salmon.
- You can double the sauce for enhanced taste.
Salmon options
- Atlantic – It is farmed and has a mild flavor.

Rather than increasing debt on Margaritas everytime you are out, then don't. Get your party IN this weekend with homemade margaritas! It's as easy as 1-2-3: For the Cointreau, lime juice and Tequila combination that is 1:2:3 ratio respectively. Shake, pour, sip!
Margaritas
If, for instance, like me, it gives you a stomachache thinking of how many cocktails you must have drunk in your lifetime you are now ready to join the band wagon of making margaritas at home. You could say that it's fantastically simple: it is perfect for a party, juicy, just a tad sweet and, I'm sure that people are going to feel a bit dizzy from the alcohol very quickly!
What goes in Margaritas
Here's what you need – it's easy as 1-2-3:
- 1 part of the Cointreau brand of liqueur or triple sec
- 2 parts lime juice
- 3 parts tequila
(To measure 'parts' simply take the using the same measurement device: a shot glass, a tablespoon, a mug or a bottle for every part, for each ingredient.)
No sugar! Cointreau is already sweet and infused cointreau is not really needed – margaritas are new and fresh spirits, they don't need to be artificially sweetened all the time!
What's Triple Sec?
Triple Sec can be described as an orange flavoured alcoholic syrup. The most popular brand of this liqueur is Cointreau it is produced in France. Triple Sec brands differ in sweetness and ratio of orange peel strength / flavor. Cointreau is less sweet than most, but has a clearer, better orange taste.
SKINNY Margaritas
Lime Margaritas have become really popular these days – and as far as the insanely sweet Margaritas that some restaurants offer, the Skinny Margaritas are light years ahead in terms of calorie content. It is not made with Cointreau; it comes with orange juice and agave syrup.
But here's what they don't tell you – Skinny Margaritas only possess 15 fewer calories than classic margaritas mixed rather traditionally with no sweetener.
So, you will need the following ingredients for the Skinny version – I've also placed the quantities for everything in the recipe card below. It is a delicious option though I find it don't prepare it as the low calorie option for original Margaritas!
at any type of the glass, but for the later differentiation we have the Skinny Margarita served in a tumbler with ice.
When to serve Margaritas – and what to serve it with!
Margaritas are one of the most popular cocktails within parties and anything socially related to Mexico! From a backyard Barbeque with friends, Nachos on Friday night to a Sunday Mexican Night!!!!
Begin a party with margaritas, chips and dip; the favorite: Guacamole or my famous Pig-Out Salsa that has individuals going nut-crackers over.
They're unbelievably gulpable – crisp not cloying which ain't retarded sugar-rush sweet so you don't get that depressed where all you can do is drink yourself to death. As per their size you can't taste the alcohol in it but over all they are pretty darn strong.
Plus they're convenient to make in large portions – just blend a jug and store in the refrigerator to serve as needed. That's how a man continues a celebration!

An estimated 3 billion people worldwide suffer from oral diseases, according to the World Health Organization. In other words, about half of the world's population.
Luckily, most common oral diseases can be prevented in your own home. It includes dental cavities, gum disease, oral infectious diseases, and oral cancer. Even though oral injuries are not a disease itself, they are preventable because they are mostly caused by unsafe conditions, mishaps, and social violence.
Dental Cavities
According to a study published in the medical journal The Lancet, 2.83 billion adults and children worldwide suffer from dental cavities, also known as caries, the "most common health condition" among people with permanent teeth.A cavity is typically formed when these two steps occur, resulting in decay:
1. Teeth become coated with plaque.
2. By combining with sugar, the bacteria in the plaque produce acid that damages the enamel.
Remedy: Fluoride treatments can reverse decay if caught early enough by you or your dentist. The most common method of treating cavities is fillings. Suppose the decay progresses so far that a filling is not effective, your dentist will likely recommend that the tooth be covered with a dental crown or extracted. It might also be necessary to perform a root canal if the decay reaches your tooth's pulp. The sooner tooth decay is detected, the less likely it is to get worse.
Gum Disease
Around half of the adults aged 30 and over are affected by some form of gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, says the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This condition could mean anything from mildly swollen gums to bleeding gums to tooth loss, depending on the severity of the case. The most common stages of gum disease are as follows:
1. Gingivitis is caused by plaque and tartar buildup on your teeth.
2. When gingivitis is present, it affects the soft tissues along the gumline, causing them to swell, which then leads to periodontitis.
3. As a result of periodontitis, the gums pull away from the teeth resulting in pockets. Ultimately, tooth extraction or antibiotics might be necessary if the gum infection worsens.
Remedy: It is true that gum disease in its gingivitis stage, if caught early enough, can be reversed, much like cavities. In case it can’t be reversed, your dentist might have to schedule a deep-cleaning treatment to remove all plaque buildup. Antibiotics could be prescribed to you as well. You might need surgery if you have advanced periodontitis.
Infectious Diseases
Oral herpes, also known as cold sores or fever blisters, are the most common infectious oral diseases. Children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years are usually affected by the oral herpes virus. Clinically, it is referred to as herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1).Infected children will carry HSV-1 for the rest of their lives. A report released by Johns Hopkins Medicine estimates that 50-80 percent of adults suffer from oral herpes - either dormant or active. A formerly HSV-1-free adult who did not contract the virus as a child might contract oral herpes after coming into contact with a child or an adult who is experiencing an outbreak. Be careful where you plant your kisses.
It is more likely for HIV-positive individuals to contract bacterial infections, fungal infections, and viral infections. Soft tissues inside the cheeks, the lips, and under the tongue can develop lesions from these infections. As a result, they can cause dry mouth, swallowing difficulties, as well as discomfort or pain.
Remedy: Your body builds antibodies to fight the virus once you have had the first bout of oral herpes. As a result, the next time you contract HSV-1, your outbreaks may not be as intense, or the virus may remain dormant.
Taking antiviral medication, however, can prevent cold sores from fully developing if you experience the early stages of oral herpes outbreaks. Maintaining a healthy emotional and physical state will minimize flare-ups.
Depending on the specific condition, HIV-related infections require different treatment methods.
Oral Cancers
According to the Oral Cancer Foundation, nearly 53,000 people are diagnosed yearly with mouth or throat cancer in the US. The most common areas of the mouth where oral cancer develops are the tongue, tonsils, gums, and oropharynx (the section of the throat at the back of the mouth).Oral cancers are often difficult to detect in their early stages due to the lack of clear signs and symptoms. Regular dental check-ups are, therefore, the best way to catch them. When you visit your dental professional, pay special attention to these symptoms for oral cancer screening:
1. A mouth or lip sore that isn’t healing
2. A lump in your mouth
3. Your mouth has a white or red patch
4. Loose teeth
5. Having difficulty swallowing, continuous mouth pain, or ear pain
Using tobacco products increases your chances of getting an oral cancer diagnosis.
Remedy: Surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy can be used to treat oral cancer, depending on the type and stage at the time of diagnosis.
Mouth Injury Trauma
According to the World Health Organization, about 20 percent of people experience dental trauma in their lifetime. Mouth injury trauma can be caused by unsafe conditions, reckless behavior, accidents, or violent acts.Mouth trauma is often caused by sports injuries. It is possible to prevent mouth injuries in sports by wearing protective equipment, such as mouthguards and helmets.
Remedy: As soon as you can after suffering an unforeseen injury, seek medical attention. If you act immediately, a tooth that has been knocked out can be replaced.
Some injuries call for an expensive treatment that may involve several surgeries. Some of them could be so traumatic that they compromise your psychological health or the health of your entire face.
Maintaining your oral health is more than just keeping your teeth healthy - it is also about preventing your mouth from diseases. Regular dental screenings, good oral hygiene, and avoiding certain behaviors can help prevent some oral diseases.
